HOW LONG CAN I STAY?

Guests can stay from 1 to 5 nights.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM ELIGIBLE TO STAY

A variety of circumstances can deem a person/family to be in need. To find out if you are eligible you can call the office to discuss with a Benwerren worker your needs. Confidentiality will be maintained.

Can I bring my pet to Benwerren?

Unfortunately, you cannot bring your pet to Benwerren. If you have a registered assistance animal please call our office on 03 5967 1021 to talk further.

Can you speak at my event or group?

Benwerren would love to come to your event, church, organisation, school, or group to share about the work we do. Please contact the office on 03 5967 1021 to talk more about connecting with our team.

I’m studying and need placement hours. Can I do this at Benwerren?

Yes, Benwerren can provide placement hours for students. Please contact our co-ordinator to discuss on 03 5967 1021.

Do you have wheel chair access?

No, our rooms do not have doors wide enough for a wheel chair and there are steps throughout the property.

Can I leave money to Benwerren in my will?

Yes. By including a gift in your Will for Benwerren you are helping the next generation of women and children in need. To leave this lasting legacy please call the office on 03 5967 1021 to find out more.

Can I refer someone to Benwerren?

Yes, we are here if you wish to enquire about our service for a friend or a client, please call our office on 03 5967 1021 and speak to our staff.

Can I volunteer at Benwerren?

Yes! Benwerren could not operate without it’s amazing volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, please call the office on 03 5967 1021 and speak to our coordinator.

CAN I DONATE SECOND HAND ITEMS?

Yes, Benwerren takes some second hand items. Benwerren has an Op Shop in Yarra Junction called Benwerren Boutique. The shop welcomes donations of second-hand clothing, bric-a-brac, books and small items of furniture. All the money raised supports Benwerren’s Programs for women and children in need.

Benwerren also has a Care Closet on its premises for families staying with us to access. This stocks a small collection of clothing for women and children of all ages, shoes, nappys, socks & underwear.

Donations for the Op Shop can be taken directly to the shop.

How many years have you been helping women and children have time out?

We have been providing time out for women and children for over 40 years.

How do I make a booking? Do I have to go through an agency or can I call myself?

Eligibility status and bookings can be made by calling the office on 03 5967 1021. We welcome calls by individuals or agencies. If the office is unattended, please leave a message and someone will call you back.
